Niche has released brand-new rankings running down the best public middle schools in America.

The Alpine Public School was the first New Jersey public middle school to crack Niche's list of the top public middle schools in America.

The first New Jersey school to crack the list was Alpine Middle School at No. 65, while The Davidson Academy in Reno, NV was ranked No. 1.

Daily Voice broke Niche's rankings down even further to find the top public middle schools in New Jersey. They are:

  • 9. Briarcliff Middle School, Mountain Lakes
  • 8. Thomas R Grover Middle School, West Windsor
  • 7. Sea Girt Elementary School, (Serves students K-8)
  • 6. Emil A. Cavallini Middle School, Upper Saddle River
  • 5. Community Middle School, West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional schools

To determine the "best public schools in America," Niche's ranking was "based on rigorous analysis of academic and student life data from US Department of Education along with test scores, college data, and ratings collected from millions of Niche users."
